I was born and raised there. In the summer you sweat to death while the mosquitoes try to fly off with your children, and in the winter you freeze to death under a 10' snow drift while your car rots into the ground from salt.

I haven’t lived there for 12 years, I’ve lived all over the U.S. since then, and I’ve escaped the rust belt... But for some reason, I still miss MN terribly.

I was born there, and raised there apart from the time between when I was six weeks and 4.5 years old. I’ve experienced everything you describe. But I have the same feeling. It’s weird.
